NLPOA participated in the Cruzando Fronteras, California-Mexico Project hosted by Cal-State Long Beach University on December 2, 2005. We were invited to participate in a Judicial and Law Enforcement Policy Forum. The emphasis was on establishing judicial and law enforcement collaboration on issues of mutual concern.

Local top law enforcement officials and the L.A. legal community were present. We met and conversed with Mexico's Attorney General Bernardo Batiz Vasquez. We will correspond and look forward to working with each other. We also met Mexico's City Mayor Alejandro Encinas Rodriguez. We discussed establishing an on-going relationship with the goal of enhancing communication and cooperation.
