Sonoma County Chapter
Sonoma County Chapter donated toys to Toy Barrels
December 7, 2006

Sonoma County Chapter President Ron Perez

Christmas is fast approaching and it is the time of year that Sonoma County Deputy Sheriff Frank Cooper starts “R-Hoops Toy Drive.” The Drive brings relief and happiness to low income, underprivileged kids and their families, when unsuspecting toys arrive at Christmas. We hope the young children will have a reason to believe that there really is a Santa Claus, even if he only exists in the kindness of others.

Your unwrapped toy today could mean the difference between a Christmas that’s special, and a Christmas that’s just like any other day. I want to let people like you know just how much your generous contributions have done for these young children and their families.

Thanks to the Sonoma County Law Enforcement community which includes: the District Attorney’s Office, Correctional Officers, Probation Officers, all Support Staff and Deputies for their support the R-Hoops Toy Drive has been active.

To donated, take your toys to Toy Barrels at all Johnny’s Java Coffee Houses and a Toy Barrel will be at the Main Office near the crossroads and CIB, the MADF Administration & NCDF Administration Secretary’s office.

On Thursday, December 7th, the Sonoma County Chapter of NLPOA donated twenty-seven (27) toys to the R-Hoops Toy Drive with presents for younger children.
